About the Fair

The Kings Mountain Art Fair is an annual event, held every Labor Day weekend. The Art Fair benefits the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade and other community activities, including the Kings Mountain Elementary School, and is staffed completely by volunteers from the local community.

Known for its stunning location among the redwoods and for its unique and varied artists (selected by jury), the Kings Mountain Art Fair celebrates over 40 years of art and ambiance. Come visit!

Fair admission and parking are free.

Food & Beverage

Cookie Booth
Come hang out in a gorgeous redwood forest and enjoy great food and fresh air – all meals enthusiastically prepared by our volunteer fire/rescue team and all-volunteer staff.

Breakfast is available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Grill 56. Enjoy eggs, sausage, pancakes, juice, milk, and Peet's coffee under the redwood canopy.

Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Grill 56. Tasty hamburgers, cheeseburgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, sausages, veggie burgers, chili, and nachos are served.

A variety of drinks, including juices, iced teas, sodas, milk, water, beers and wines, can be purchased from Grill 56 and the Upper and Lower Beverage Booths.

Don’t miss the world’s largest cookies – peanut butter, toffee, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin – at the Cookie Booth just around the corner from Grill 56. All proceeds from cookie sales benefit the Kings Mountain Elementary School.

Kiddie Hollow

Spin Art
Kids have their own dedicated space at the Art Fair: Kiddie Hollow, located down the hill from the Cookie Booth. For a nominal fee ($3 for 12 tickets, $5 for 24), children of all ages can make their own art at the supervised booths, including spin, string, straw, and glitter art, among other activities. There is also a Parent's Retreat overlooking Kiddie Hollow, where the adults can relax while the children play. Kiddie Hollow is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Meet the Firefighters

Fire Brigade Booth
To learn about the adventures of a volunteer firefighter, the history of the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade, or just get a free blood pressure check, be sure to visit the Firefighter’s booth (space 56, next to the Upper Beverage Booth).

You may also pick up free fire protection related items, including a Smokey the Bear coloring book for the kids. Our trained, friendly volunteer firefighters are prepared to administer First Aid, should you require it.
